Mr. Jonathan Sakoe

Mr Jonathan Sakoe is a Chartered Accountant with 17 years’ experience as a practicing accountant. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance from Wisconsin International University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science Education from University of Cape Coast. In addition, he has been successful in the final Part 1 of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Ghana.

He worked as a Professional Accountant in two Public Universities in Ghana at the senior management level. He joined the University for Development Studies in 2004 as Junior Assistant Accountant and rose through the ranks to the level of accountant in 2008. In February 2020, he was appointed as Accountant at University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Tarkwa. He was promoted to the rank of Senior Accountant in May 2018 and was appointed as the Acting Finance Officer for UMaT same year. In August 2020, the University Council appointed him as the Finance Officer for the University.

Mr. Jonathan Sakoe has served on a number of committees both within the University and outside the University. Some of committees include:

* Audit Committe Chairman for Bia West Destrict Assembly

* Audit Committee member for Aowin Municipal Assembly

* Audit Committee member for Amenfi Central District Assembly 

* Vice Chairman of the Tarkwa Gold City District Society of ICA Ghana

* Member of the Unified Ghana Universities Staff Superannuation Scheme (UGUSS) Investment Committee

He has provided consultancy services to Small and Medium-Scale Enterprises (SMEs) in the form of Business Advisory Services, Tax Education and Consultancy Services and Audit and Assurance Services.

Philipine Aseye Kasu

Philipine Aseye Kasu has a total of 13 years of work experience in administration and office management, with the last 9 years in human resources management. She has garnered varied experiences in the educational (tertiary), health and the aviation industry. She is the Human Capital Business Partner for Ghana Airports Company Limited in Tamale, an HR Consultant for Arena Community Hospital, Accra and a member of the Board of Directors also for the hospital. She holds an MBA in Human Resource Management from KNUST and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from the University of Education Winneba, Kumasi campus. She recently acquired a charter status from the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management, Ghana (CIHRM).

As a human resource practitioner, Philipine has always been concerned about the basic needs of humans for survival; food, shelter, and clothing which are dependent on agriculture for their production. Raw materials such as crops for food, silk for cloth, and wood for shelter, all come from agriculture. She believes that employers will have the best output from human capital should these basic needs be satisfied.

With her skills in assisting her clients daily in analysing problems, diagnosing issues and proposing solutions, she finds venturing into the agricultural industry a perfect and intriguing way to help the society in acquiring basic needs for survival, providing employment for the youth all which will go a long way to grow Ghana’s economy and that of the world at large.

Samuel Asiwome Komla

Samuel Asiwome Komla Agbai is a breeder, an agronomist and greenhouse expert. He holds a Master’s degree in Plant Breeding from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Technology, from the University for Development Studies, Ghana and a diploma in Applicable Agriculture from Agrostudies, Israel. He was a trainee beneficiary under Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI), as part of President Barack Obama’s flagship program for young African leaders. He has over six years’ experience in the sustainable agricultural sector working to promote rural development and advance the SDG2 of ending hunger in Ghana and beyond.  He co-founded Feed a Village, an agricultural enterprise leading local rice production, providing machinery and extension services to smallholder farmers in the Adansi North district, Ashanti region, Ghana.
